Q: working visa - how much does it cost

hello everyone!

i am looking for a job and have been to a few job interviews. in one company, they told me that they will provide me with all the papers necessary to obtain working visa, but they don/t pay for my visa.

what does it mean? how much does the working visa cost? and where should I get it? in my country?

what papers do i need - my degree certificate, health examination and papers from the company ?

it would be my first job in china, so i don't have two years of experience.

currently, I have student visa.

tnx in advance!

they wiil change your resume to show 2 years in chinese or you cant get the visa, the visa fee for z visa is 400 rmb plus you need 6 to eight 8 passport photos, another 25 to 50 rmb depending on the city you live, dont let them make money on the visa cost and overcharge you.

Here are instructions for Z visa, or just google 'Chinese Working visa':

I agree with 'ambi', don't let them make money on the visa cost. They should pay for the cost anyway. They'll make money, while you will work for them.

If they are going to change your resume to to show two years experience you don't have, then you are the one who will be viewed as cheating China, and you will technically be working illegally.

If they don't want to pay for your visa and other expenses, they will cheat you at ever chance they get. It is perhaps because they don't expect you to stay very long (maybe just as long as it takes them to find another teacher). You are expendable.

My advice is find another school. There are plenty of them available.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
