Q: Xian or Nanjing? Which one is better city for International students to live in?

I will be heading to China soon , but want to have some ideas about Nanjing and Xian city about their facilities , security , transportation system , shopping etc? Which one is more developed and recommended for international students?

Personally, I recommend Cambridge or the Bay Area for international students, not anywhere on the mainland.

Nanjing is not too bad! Pretty bigg city on it's way to become a 1st tier city. Cost of life would be fine, rent outside campus may be a little expensive. 

 

Pros: Not too far from Shanghai by train.

 

Never been to Xian
