Q: Any Chinese New Year/Spring Festival plans?
Before Covid, I would schedule a vacation out of China to another Asian country. Since Covid, I have just stayed in my apartment. Although we can travel this year, I hate traveling around the country with 1.4 billion people. I suspect that I will be hibernating again at home.
What about you? Any plans this winter break period?

By the end of April, 2012, I signed new contract and I was at the Bj Railway Station on the last day of April with one-way ticket to Wulumuqi, Xinjiang ...
I missed the train because of the huge queue at the boarding gates ...
I arrived at Bj Railway Station some 12-h before the departure, so "It wasn't me ..., (who let the dawgs out ...").
I tell you, I had a "riot-police,-pls-help-me!" in my mind while standing in the boarding queue ...
Never ever travel during the Chinese holi ...!
I'll stay home, too 'cause I still ain't vaxxed and I hate too much PIA ... when moving around. 
when i was in China I took every oportunity to travel to different parts of this huge country. It gave me a chance to learn a lot about China and its people. Now I am stuck back in Canada where I can't get on a plane or a train. And emporor Trudeau wants to raise my taxes. I have not seen much of Asia, just Africa and a little bit of Europe.

The mission so far means China is the only country besides the US to land a rover on Mars successfully. Its mission is to explore the surface and geology of the planet.
Space is becoming the next battleground domain for both US and China. Beijing has become super aggressive in space in the last year. The country has also landed a spacecraft on the moon and collected lunar rock samples.
The final frontier is space -- the world's superpowers are on a hunt for trillion-dollar deposits of rare metals that will power Earth's green energy revolution in decades to come.

Superpowers competing to find something cool on Mars is great, I hope someone - don't care who - digs up a dinosaur fossil or an old city or something and shows it off to the world. What's less cool is knowing they're also racing to be the first to find valuable resources and trash another planet.

Yeah, it says Chinese are looking for Rare Earths which will spark another alternative energy boom ... when they'll find it.
The thingy is, Chinese have loads of funds to invest into ... the space exploration.
I was watching report on Tabby star signals from Cygnus Constellation the other day. The signals (lightning and dimming of the planet's light) are detected in certain intervals and one possible explanation is "It might be a Dyson Sphere built around the planet"... by you know who, he he, ... advanced outer space civilization ...
It will take you to completely another venue, if you'll approach the search engine ..., LOLOL.
Dyson Sphere is an imaginary structure built for the accumulation of energy from another planet and directing it for usage on yours ...
I read a title on u-Tube that they found frozen dino with stomach full of undigested veggi... When cold, Older-Dryas era hit some brazillion years ago, dino just got frozen while at his afternoon snack ... LOLOL.
If that is true, I am imagining ET (for sure, he he!) hit dino with the magic stick and the pure dawg just remained frozen in time ... while chewing.
