Q: Any pointers on where to go to an english speaking church in Nanning ?
Any Assembly of God or Baptist church?
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Did you try seaching the interweb or even this website first?

The problem you'll have with both of these is that the services will be in Chinese and probably for Chinese citizens only.
I live in Guangzhou and there is one place where the government allows non-Chinese to go and have weekly services but they don't allow Chinese citizens to go there.

Hi hotwater. I had went to the very location and had called the indian guy in which his phone was inactive aka dead. We did went to the very location which is on Gong He Lu number 168 very close to the parkson compound Chong San Lu.
The Church is called GONG HE LU CHURCH OF NANNING. Sadly for us the English church were no more and none in our group understands Chinese.
It truly looks like a great church to be apart of.
The church building are right beside a hotel called Yeste Hotel and another hotel called Baba Hotel.
The sermon were held on 2nd floor and children's service on 3rd.
I guess Christians expat in Nanning should group up and make their own community- cell in my opinion- or some sort of bible study group once a month or something.

Aah so you'd done your homework first, sorry for assuming you might not have done.
Starting your own bible study group sounds like your only option then. Please be careful though as you'll know that religion is controlled here. I'd suggest keeping your group as only foreigners or the authorities might class you as a "house church" which is frowned upon.
Not sure about Nanning I was attending church here regularly in Wuhan for sometime, always felt uncomfortable, and each service lasted anything between 120- 160 minutes that heck of a long time. It was always relayed in Chinese language with around 300 people present each time. The last time I attended I was shocked that a young man aged around 18 came out in priests garments and started to conduct the service. Later outside I was totally insulted by a middle aged woman, who approached me and bluntly spoke that I was not a true Christian as I had tattoo's. Well you can take the rug from under my feet, kick me around the floor, call me names but this has been the biggest insult throughout my life. If this had been a man I would be in prison. I was totally insulted by this remark. I have been baptised, christened, and have attended RC mass services throughout my life regularly and in all 42 countries I have visited, and had to come to China to be insulted in the highest degree. Never again in China to any church service.

better to be a good person with core values and moral code, and tolerant of others

We have big 'religion thing' going on in Jianou. We have Christian church, close to my apartment. A month ago, I got lost in the city, and I called rep. When I told him, I'm in front of the Christian church, he told me, he never heard of church in the city.
They don't use it for religious purposes. Entrance to church is filled with books, so it looks like some kind of a library or storage, but architecture is 'Christian church'.
We have group of people, dressed in black kimono like dresses, burning small (2 m length) paper ship. The ship is made out of wire, and then they stick paper in red colour on it. After they're done with burning, they take ship with them for the next time session. Their music remains me on buddhist thingy. Clinging, and singing.
Nanning, I've never been there. You could ask at the bank or hospital. Some bankers and MDs speak English.
