Q: Best Airline to travel to China from London

Any preferences? And the quickest journey would be ideal...with leg room economy class.

British Airways operates direct flights from Heathrow to Beijing. I've been satisfied with their service whenever I used them, but they tend to be on the more expensive sid of the scale. The flight takes about 9 hours if I remember correctly.

I've also flown with Air China. They are reliable and offer good service for the most part, though as far as I can remember, the in-flight entertainment was a bit limited.

My favourite airline however, in terms of price and service, is KLM (operates with China Southern) via Amsterdam. Yes the flight takes longer because there's a stop-over, but their service is excellent and they offer the lowest flight prices.

China Airlines/ Air China is not that bad they have good service. Every time I flew there were usually empty seats so many people could use up 2 or 3 chairs. The only problem is sometimes there head set is broken or the radio so some of the seats you can't listen to any music or listen to any of the movies/shows that they are playing.

If you are in Guangzhou, you should fly out of Hong Kong.
Much faster and direct flights.
Cathay Pacific is not the cheapest, but probably the best for the money IMO.

The best airline I have flown with is Qatar, but it is not a direct flight, there is a
change at Doha. Cabin crew are excellent, food is good and they have the best entertainment
system I have come across. Plus the prices are usually amongst the lowest. It just depends on how important the time factor is. If I had to go direct I would probably use Cathay Pacific.
I would agree with Crimochina, a safe flight is what counts. Unless you can afford business class
or above You are going to be stuck in cattle class which is why I like Qatar, they make the best
of a budget job.

My 13.5hr flight has been booked with Cathay Pacific with a stop over in HK.

Not the cheapest but defintely the shortest for the price. Hopefully I won't feel too crammed in, I'm 5ft 10! Why don't they think about the leggy folks when building these things Sad

Don't forget pen and paper since the they think it's cool for London to retro evolve to the middle ages. Where in the hell did I park my camel, Where is my slave and concubine, I should have bought one from Sweden, these lymie servants are too damn lazy.
