Q: Dating Your Boss

I know back in America dating your boss seen as a negative thing in several ways, but is it the same here in China? In Beijing? I ask because I might start teaching at a nice ESL school and the interview was today. A young woman did the interview and monitored my demo class. I couldn't judge her age but she was very very attractive. She appeared to be, in the short time I was with her, a quality woman. The only thing is, she's the supervisor there. I kind of got the feeling she liked me, but really it could just be friendliness. It's always difficult for me to tell the two apart. Anyway, is it considered bad taste to try to date your superior? I mean, they probably want to find someone just like everyone else, right? I'm not talking about the casual dating, as I take relationships seriously. Naturally I wouldn't want to get fired over it. Should I go for it or just forget it and look elsewhere?

I would NEVER date my boss.  He's as ugly as sin.  (Plus he's not my type.)

Oh, please, Siting.  Leave me alone, honey.  It's past your bedtime anyway.  Go to bed.

She will string you along just to get you to sign the contract. Then she will screw you in a different way than you seem to expect she will.

I worked in a lab in Shanghai last summer. My supervisor was this ultra-hot early 30s lady from Chongqing. If you saw her.. you knew why many Chinese say Sichuan girls are so hot [technical CQ is not in Sichuan anymore, but...]. She wore a Chinese dress to work EVERY DAY!! What do you call those.. qi pao.. oh goddd.. Her body was rockin' in that skin tight Chinese dress. The butt, the rack, this woman had a perfect body..

Haha, I did everything to her for about 2 months.... And then her husband came back to Shanghai.... and then I said "wtf!!!' And she said.. "sorry." Damn she was good though. It's women like this that make a man consider murder... and then we could be together... devil

Here's another career opportunity, I'll date your boss for money if you don't want to. That way you don't get fired. Cardiac arrests are optional and payments always in advance.

A:Nobody can tell you that! You could look at no-response-time in two ways: 1. 'Nobody is interested in your CV and hiring you ...'; or 2. 'Never, ever stop sending your CV to the daily posted job openings and simply disregard no-replies thingy!' It's wrong, to expect replies from the Chinese advertisers of a new job openings, 'cause Chinese don't behave same as western recruiters by replying: "Thank you for your job application. Unfortunately, you weren't selected at this time. We'll keep your CV on record and if new opportunity arises..." or something in those lines. So, the only remaining choice is no. 2. Looking for the new (non-native E.T.) position in my time in China was like a daily part-time job.  Good luck! -- icnif77
