People say that creating a western style restaurant is a big failure in China.
Cuz they like spicy food. Is that true?
The upper echelons of Chinese society like fine European dining this accounts for probably 2% of the whole population. The rising middle class will like to show friends and family how cultured they are but really know nothing about dining. The rest will eat rice and veg.
Scandinavian:
I think 2% is high. And also if you say "European cuisine" then it probably isn't everything from Knödle to Becherovka that tickles their taste buds in the right way.
well if i cook at home "european" or better "german" food there are some things my gf likes and others she doesnt.
Found just out they never like the food that contains of too much meat
Most Chinese people who've tried European food in China, have not really tried European food. Just like many Europeans don't actually try Chinese when they go to they local 'eat all you can' deepfried buffet place with a tiger outside the door.
Further. The way the majority of Chinese travel, they get to try restaurants that are catering specifically to them.
My wife loved the food in Bulgaria, not sure if that's European food
In Dongguan there are many foreign restaurants that initially catered to the foreign market but now they are frequented just as much if not more by Chinese patrons.
Ummmmmmmmm. ...........I'm pretty sure you got that culture mixed up with Koreans. Koreans are the one's that like Spicy food not Chinese. And to answer your question Do chinese like European food? YES!!!!!!!!!! .................
If it's not Chinese they don't like it. Except pizza! Young people seem to love pizza and terrible fast food - never underestimate the power of advertising.
