Q: Flying out of China June 2022

Hi,

I plan on flying out of Guangzhou back to the UK in June 2022.

Do I need to show any vaccine certificates and do I need to do a PCR test 48 hours before my flight or will a green code on my phone suffice? Basically, what do I need to have on hand to fly out of China! I can't seem to find any information on the 'net... thanks in advance!

The bigger question is, "Do you plan to return after summer?" The quarantine requirements are still pretty harsh. It would take up to two months to be finally free an clear.

Stiggs:

That's a good point. Something else to consider would be the possibility that circumstances could change and you'd be unable to return. I heard of people who were in that situation when the pandemic started, they couldn't get back to China so aside from losing their jobs they lost everything in their apartments too.

Not any time soon, I have been here for three years and my school are allowing me to teach online as I do plan to come back when the borders are open again but like you allude to, that might not be any time soon.

I don't know the answer to your question but wouldn't it depend on whatever requirements the UK currently have? I'd assume any testing they do at GZ would depend on the requirements at the destination country.

I have no idea but if it is the case, good news because the UK has no testing or restrictions to entry. I will probably have a PCR test just to be on the safe side, thanks.
