Contrary to obviously popular Chinese opinion, 'foreigners' don't actually like being referred to as 'foreigners'. It helps to cement the idea that you have of 'Chinese vs non-Chinese', whereas most 'foreigners' tend to think in terms of "person I'd be willing to chat with' vs 'tosser who wants to waste my time'. You are not showing yourself to be the latter.

You have to offer some reason to meet with you - being a 'guy' is not enough: what are your interests etc.?

1) most foreigners are not in China now as it is Spring Festival

2) at least have the balls to state your real reason for wanting 'foreign friends'

    a) learning english

    b) 'face'

    c) other reason

at least be honest in your intentions.

3) most foreigners don't respond to the 'will you be my friend?' question - this is a bit primary school, not as an adult would.

try meeting foreigners in your nearest english corner and not sounding desperate on a forum like this, or at least go on the dating part of this site.

Yeah it is pretty juvenile.

What if I put out an ad for making a black friend or a mexican friend?

Even if the intentions are good it's basically just announcing i'm interesting in a category or stereotype of person and not any quality of a specific person

"I'm looking to make a cool black friend. The kind of person who can dance and play basketball and talks in cool slang!"

Foreigners adding some random forever-alone desperado to hang out with...bahahaha

Why do you want foreign friends? You need to use them for something. That's how Chinese guys roll, so come clean, man up and break the stereotype and be honest.
