I tasted sweet peanuts in the shell. They also sell unsweetened (regular) peanuts (in the shell) on the open market. Peanuts have very strong sugary taste. How do they achieve that? Do they water the plants with sugary water or what? Anybody familiar with that?
Pee on them, urine soaked peanuts are a delicasy.
TedDBayer:
Chinese love eggs cooked in young boys urine, and they love peenuts.
I supposed they soak them in sugary water, then dry in the sun. Unless of cause it is a sweet peanut plant of some sorts.
Personally I like my nuts salty

That's real possibility. The nicest, the biggest peanuts are all sweet. It looks like they were sorted out, before the dip.
Sinobear:
The biggest nuts in eChina smell like Burger King and hostels. They ask you if you think they're pretty before eating them (a passport to a European country after)
They have a production line, first guy drills the hole, second guy put the funnel in, third guy pours the sugar, fourth guy removes the funnel, fifth guy spits on it so cork will stick, sixth guy puts the tiny cork in, seventh guy has the hardest job- he has to drive the cork in with a hammer and not break the shell.

You're not 'nutter' like me. I can down 1/2 kg of peanuts in shell just during the news.
The best (biggest) peanuts I ate were from (US) Georgia.
I never ate sweet peanuts like here. It cannot be 'sweet sort of peanuts'. Chinese add sugar somehow. Scan's suggestion is the most likely one.
They use trained ants that pack the nuts with sugar, grain by grain. In return the ants are allowed to eat their fill, though they constantly complain that they're working for peanuts. WA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!
this question make me know how large difference thinking among diffirent country people.
for chinese may every one know how nuts with shell become suger or sault, but it confuse you so much.

'No ming bai'. I never ate sweet (or salted) peanuts in the shell. Only in China----->sweet.
