I'd say, your best bet is to contact any Chinese Embassy in Ozz.
Hotwater:
They can't do it. Needs to be got from Chengdu. Possibly through an agent.

I was just using logic, and I would certainly ask at Chinese Embassy to get certificate about my living in China.
As I understand, OP is in Ozz and they (Chinese Embassy) should tell her how to get cert. and who to contact.
If agent is required, they should reference OP to the few agents in China, working with the matter.
You can get better A by asking at 'laowai's website'? OK.
Hotwater:
I read a lot of Laowai websites. That's how I know an embassy can't help :-)

China is different! I am expecting small package out of EU, which was sent 2 months ago. It arrived to the School during summer holidays, so guards sent it back to the Post office.
Chinese teacher went to the Post and ask them about it. He had names of the sender & addressee, but Post office wants to have number from the mailing receipt.
Name doesn't count in China.
Chinese must have many different persons with the same name ....
You'll need to find an agent in Chengdu to help you get this. I'd suggest the Reddit Chengdu sub or Chengdu expat websites to ask.

Stick 'police clearance certificate in China' to Yahoo-gle search for more agencies.

Hotwater:
You could do what icnif77 did and search the internet or the websites I linked for you...
@icnif77 thank you for your reply
icnif77:
Just hit them with the email first. As I glanced through the links quickly, your presence in China isn't required, so all is good!
