Q: is it possible to work in China after you get deported?

So many people get deported from China. Some for a year, some for five... My question is: is it possible after that period to work in China? ( given the fact that you have a criminal record, and China asks for a non criminal record to get a work visa).

What kind of the Q is this?

Why don't you try and tell us all about it?

Your WP won't be approved, if you have a criminal record in your native country or if you violated any of the Chinese laws, which warrant deportation.

I'd say, if one had been deported from China for any of the Law violations, living and working in China will not be permitted, either.

This is my logical opinion, i.e. 2 + 2 = 4 ...

It is difficult to determine current Chinese policy unless we get a poster, who was in jail and deported and then he has been permitted long term stay/work in China.

You are better off to ask the same Q at Western websites, which advertise job vacancies in China. They have lawyers, which will answer any of your questions considering applications of the current laws in China.

Where ever, i.e. in any country in the world, where you'll be asked for the non-criminal record, it is done on purpose i.e. if you have a criminal record you won't be permitted an entry, or long term work in the country.

Chinese implemented such requirement (non-crim. record) mostly at the English teaching jobs 'cause FT has a contact with the underage kids, i.e. looking for the 'Kevin Spaceys' ...

Chinese copied that requirement from other countries ...

China tracks by passport number in most provinces, so you could get a new passport and come in. I don't know if they have managed to steal or copy the facial recognition well enough from Google to use it for border entry at ports and airports. They will eventually copy the fingerprint protocol from America and then you want be able to get in at all.

They tend to be cheap and prefer to copy or wait for the price to go down for new technology. I once went into China Construction Bank in 2018 and they were still using Windows XP.

maybe my quesations wasn't clear enough. I meant after that period passes, not during the period of deportation. ( for example, if you are banned for 2 years, is it possible after two years to work in China.

No.
Used to be that you could just change the passport number and come back. Since everything went digital, with facial recognition, no such luck.

I wasn't aiming at you, @Spider ...

It was early in the morning, but I should write @OP, who copied the same message at 2 comments, like some readers can read only replies of the certain posters ...

But yeah, friend-of-the-friend thingy ... I got shortened for a refund of the flight ticket at my last contract in China. I wasn't really planning a return to China, but I went to Jobs and sent brazzilion CVs and I got few interested schools. Then, after I completed the interviews, I told every school that condition for my work in China, I require a flight refund from the last contract and I gave them contact details of my last school (owner), with suggestion to contact them and help me get a refund school still owes me. At the end, I stated: "Only after I receive flight refund from the last contract, I will return for work in China ...

New employers should check me at my last employer anyway, so I was saying " ... you (new school) must ask only one extra Q ..." .

Anyhow, I didn't get a flight refund .. 'effin thieving bastards ...
