What is your most useful item that you have bought in China?
Mine, is the folding chair that you can put over the squat toilet thus turning it into o Western style toilet !
warm underwear. it is ridiculers that it is needed in the southern part of China during the so-called winters, never used it back home where it gets proper cold
Car. Screw being wedged into an already overfilled bus full of stinky, sweaty sardines.
Computer fan, clothes folder, multi-function charger. To be fair none of those are particularly Chinese but I got them on the cheap!
where did you buy this chair from ? i want one dammit
Scandinavian:
I've seen these in Vanguard and Carre Four in the "furniture" sections (as I remember)
Yeh, those folding toilets are excellent, i've got one myself. I also use it on the weekends as a handy 'carry-chair' when I go fishing.
Headphones! For all those times people feel the need to let the world in on their taste in music. I will neeever get used to that. Sitting in a public place and being forced to listen to 'Nobody, nobody but you' at an obscene volume. Come on man....
Those funny little pillow-like electric hand-warmers.. I love sleeping with mine.
'Shenzhen Tong' card.
Mobile phone. how out-of-place would one be in PRC w/out a cool Mobile !!
my Ivory Kuaizi found on Antique Row near Temple Street Nightmarket. I hate the feel of one-times on my teeth! blech
I've never seen what you just described about the squat toilet thing, but I'll keep that in mind next time I'm out shopping. For me I would say my bike. Ever since I got here I was walking on foot everywhere. At the time they hadn't built the subway line that was close to where I live now. So I bought a bike and rode it for leisure and whenever I needed to get somewhere fast. It really saved me lots of time and helped me to get more rest when I was working at a school just about a half a mile where I am currently living.
