Yeah, English speaking Police or not, they aren't  going to give a shit about your hearing.

Hahaha....Welcome to China. Don't worry, you will get used to the all night yelling, mahjong tiles, bike alarms, car horns, dogs barking, sundry arguments and fights.

I doubt the police will give a flying unicorn about a random foreigner wishing everything was the same in China as it was back in good ole Freedom Guo.

Get over it. Get over yourself. Why come to a different culture and then have a whine because it is different?

Can't blame you. Be careful of other things such as.....

earthizen:

And the infamous Laowai Menu in Sanya.  The tricks are still there except in Sanya they have three menus. One for their own (local sanya), one for mainlanders from non sanya, and another for laowais namely you. Both the second and third are ripoff, scam prices. You can figure which menu has the highest figures for the same dish. Don't point your finger at any fresh seafood around seafood restaurants either, unless you have too much cash and want to get rid of it fast.....

Try to look for a new place if you think you can not endure it. You can also try talking to your neighbours about it. Most Chinese people are friendly.

Shining_brow:

I have noticed that most Chinese will quickly change what they were doing once you've pointed out the lost face of their actions. (except for smokers... I've noticed that smokers often don't give a toss... especially the older 40-50 year old males).

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
