I have been studying SAP Basis Administration for 2+ years now and plan to teach English or Digital Infrastructure in china, while still studying for my sap basis certification. Would it be easier for me to find a position in china for SAP after or before certification, and if so do I need to be fluent in chinese?

When I was hunting for IT jobs in China 2-3 years ago, there seemed to be enough to make it possible to find one. But there might also be a lot of candidates for them. If you are not fluent in Chinese you will find that getting an interview in a Chinese company to be very difficult. Your best bet would be internationals. Maybe look at what companies from your home country have sites in China, and trawl through their web sites (this is an easy task for someone like me who comes from a small country )
I commissioned SAP in a factory 2 years ago. Frankly, it was a nightmare. They wanted a 1 year implementation plan squeezed into six months. Obviously, it didn't work. Ended up doing it in 2 years because we had to undo and redo most of the modules. Anyway, people here don't understand structure so you can forget about processes. SAP is just too far ahead for them. Just get an off the shelf ERP program and run with it. Less painful.
Wow thanks for the good information. I will keep that in mind.
