Thanks for the reply....but im looking for local Chinese sites...not overpriced English sites for dumb foreigners.....something along the lines of 58.com or similar sites. I need them to be full Chinese, not sites geared towards foreigners.

Yeah, most people do just use the shit apartments the school gives you....which is good or some people. I used to use one and I can't remember what it was.... it was numbers...like 418.com or some shit like that. And there is one that just deals with rentals.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Some of these places have websites to at least give you a peek at what they have before you go. Problem is every time I go to these places in person they try to rip me off and raise the price. So I usually go online and get my wife to go and look at the place and take our camcorder and take a video and let her negotiate the price once we find a good place. Problem is she is back to her parent's house who have no cell service unless you stand on the roof of the house...and she is only coming back in 2 weeks. I just want to get a head start on looking. 

I just asking people if they had any luck with different websites. I know some if not most is fake. There are some legit ones though. I just cant search the proper terms in chinese to find them. 

I had the place I have now for 2 years and was looking for something a bit nicer. My wife went to ones of these places your talking about and they showed her a 5 or 6 and she took videos of them all and we decided from there. Now as we go to sign the lease, I went with her and they seen I was a white guy and decide to raise the rent by 500 RMB. Which was a cock sucker move....and the agent that showed us the place said you cant change the price once you advertise with their company, so they had to keep the asking price. I normally would have told them to go fuck themselves.....but I really like the location and places was beautiful...so I bit my tongue...this is the type of shit I try to avoid. 

Even the real-estate places will sometimes try to fuck you over and raise the price because of im a foreigner....this happened also 5 years ago or so....so I keep my face out of it until I sign the lease.

There are legit ones...I've seen it with my own eyes...and they have keys :)....At least some of the ones i've tried.

Hmm...well if it's all fake then how do chinese rent an apartment? Just get street-smart chinamen to do the legwork for you....and never show your white/black face until you sign the lease....but its not all fake.

Yeah, its hit or miss...mostly miss. Although I have some luck in the past.  Yeah ive seen the site you posted although they don't have the city I live in. I had luck on 58.com but lots of scams on there....The place I have now is great...I just wanted to look and see if there is better. I only stay there for 1/4 of the year anyway...im usually in Canada...I just like to have a place to come back too with minimal fucking around.lol

Yeah i hear ya, some of these agents of site thought to look at the place, I knew many are fake...but at least it gives you an idea before you see it in person.
