5. Kung pow chicken (gong bao ji ding)
4. Pork and peppers (nong jia chao rou) I think I might be wrong on the pinyin I always call it farmers food cause the first character
3. Sweet and sour pork (tang su li ji)
2. Eggplant (hong shao qiezi or yuxiang qiezi)
1. Sour and spicy potatoes (suan la tudou si)
1) Liang pi
2) Rou jia mo
3) Noodles in porridge called "zhen zi mian" or something like that. I ate that in Xi'an, but I still haven't found the name, and I'm not going to contact my ex just to find it.
4)Jian bing (more of a snack than a dish, but still)
5) Jiao zi - the boiled ones, not the steamed ones
bonus: Some good ol' chuan'er with a beer in summer. That's how I spent a lot of my summer nights since I was 17.

my favorite chuan'er:
yang rou chuan'er (lamb on a stick)
ji xin (chicken hearts on a stick)
andyinshenyang:
That's pretty much my list too!
I'd swap the meng nian for gan guo tu dou pian though and I'd also add liu rou duan because I'm fat and can't count!
brendangibson:
Chicken hearts are incredible. I've been eating them for over a year now when we go out. Has anyone tried silk worms on a stick? Not so bad, but i never have them sober.
