Q: When's the best time to travel to Xinjiang province?

xinjiang is really a good city and the weather there is cold you can travel there in may because at that time the weather is good and you can visit many places there because in winter and autumn those places are covered with snow if you want to travel travel in may you will feel good you can visit many places and see beautiful vallies there if you are going on mountain side because i travelled there alot i went to pakistan border in july and at that time it was good and no snow and i enjoyed the weather
Right now is the perfect time! Here in Urumqi the weather's about 25-odd degrees and the flowers are coming out, with the added bonus that almost all the pollution has disappeared in the last fortnight. I just did a weekender in Turpan and it was 30+ degrees in April: absolutely gorgeous!
I'm betting autumn (Sep and Oct, not Nov) will be great, too, with the harvest. The (local) people who live here say that summer in Xinjiang is unbearably hot... but I'm going to take that with a grain of salt, since the same people think the minus 30 winters are okay.
Try and avoid the winter, unless your father was a snowman and you have a thing for air pollution.
