i came to china with no interest...now it's seven years and i still don't want to leave.........go addicted to china and so much interested that i never want to leave.............why is that?!!!!
its not. people often like different things then they are used to/ grew up with.
If you grew up here and then moved to Euroupe or the Americas, then you probably feel the same way
I believe people nowadays tend to look for the appearance and not the essence of things. Since China is all beautiful and nice on the appearance, it's quite common to be attracted to it, like a butterfly for a beautiful flower.
If you do like the appearances of things and are satisfied with it, Asia, and China in general, is the best place for it.
If you look for something more lively in terms of environment, place to raise a child, real friendship (as opposed to network friendships), then I presume you're in the wrong place, except if you manage to recreate a good environment with only a couple of friends, far from the real Chinese life.
It's the water. It does strange things to sensory perception.
my take; sensory input, too much going on and all of it different, altho sometimes a circus, but so different it's not boring.
It's definitely the MSG
No but srsly, China makes so many other places seem extremely boring. Crazy interesting things happen every day, the streets are full of life and you can get beer for 2 RMB.
There is NOTHING addictive about it! There are good and bad things about it, just like any other country.
Don't fuss to much over it, you like the fact that pussy here is eazy and u got paid 20k just for chatting in english in the classroom, but then it comes to real life when u pay the bill in front of an angry crowd...
because china owns. theres only a few places in the world were foreign losers get treated like rockstars! im one of them
TedDBayer:
Look in the mirror , you are Chinese. Why do you pretend to be foreign? People don't stare rudely at you, no one even notices you. You get your jollies pretending to be foreign while sitting in your room. Watch your mommy doesn't find out.
is it?
for me it was always more like decision, then addiction
For me.I think because...here no Peer Pressure or family Pressure..easy and independent life..
