Nestle has their own specially packaged freeze-dried Yunnan instant coffee you can buy in most Chinese supermarkets, but again it is not very fresh.
Fresh is the best!
I lived there for three years and there is a big company Yunlu 云潞, they produce a fine French roast . You can buy it for around 40RMB for 454 grams on Taobao, ground or whole bean.
I think Yunnan coffee tastes pretty similar to the other pre-packed imported coffee grounds you get here, but the cost is much lower. However, I have noticed that there are major taste differences it its various grounds. In my supermarket they sell breakfast grounds, mocha and espresson grounds, but only the breakfast one is good. I used to buy yunnan ground coffee a lot in the pasy because it was the cheapest option (only 16 rmb) but it's since gone up to over 20 rmb so i buy organic coffee for 16 rmb from ikea instead now.
