I plan on leaving China in the next few months after 5 years. Currently, I'm on a Q resident permit(marriage) that's going to expire before my intended departure. Furthermore, my passport is going to expire. So, does Hong Kong offer all class of visas? If possible, I'd like to get the Q-2 visa in a new passport and save myself the hassle of dealing with Chinese bureaucracy for the next 10 years. Has anyone done it? It's impossible to get through on the telephone and the web site is a disaster, hence my inquiry.

Thanks. I'm familiar with the guidelines for a 10-year, I was wondering if they were available in Hong Kong. If not, I can just re-up on my spousal resident permit here. I was just hoping to end the Chinese visa nonsense, since from here on I will only be coming here for short holidays to visit the wife's family.

I noticed in that link that you can get 10-year S2 (family) visas. I thought you could renew those in China? Can't you just apply for the 10-year one in China? I'd suggest your wife speaking to your local entry-exit bureau.
