and since I posted a link I get to make a quick statement regarding my thoughts re. voting rights in the USA.
I. I believe the requirements for being allowed to vote should be stricter
II. Identity checks should be mandatory

I am not American... haven't voted in the real election, but my opinion is registered with a number of polling organizations.......... think it depends on my vpn location.

In Texas a birth certificate is no good. But a gun permit is. In the UK, we get a voter card. No id required. Democracy is based on trust and freedom. The UK has no id requirement. The UK cops have no right to detain you for not having Id. To require Id requires a police state. A free citizen should not need documents to say he is free. We were all born free. Freedom is a right. Not earned.
You can vote at the U.S embassy, just make sure you are registered to vote and go to the website and check when you can place a vote for Donald Trump.
dongbeiren:
I hope that's sarcastic but based on some of your political commentary in the past it might not be
ambivalentmace:
trump, adolf hitler, anybody that has never resided in the beltway of i495 in washington dc will be better than the 2 party oligopoly that runs the show now.
dongbeiren:
Adolf HItler? So ambivalentmace, in the other thread you advocate killing as many Muslims as possible and bringing back the Crusades and here you say that HItler is better than most politicians? I hate Washington and both parties but I think I'd take Obama/Romney/HIllary/McCain over Adolf....
I've heard that your vote will only count if it is the election is close in your state.
What does it matter, you will probably vote for one of self serving morons that are in office.

Nope. I didn't support either major party candidate in 2012 so I didn't feel the need to go through the trouble to cast a vote that wouldn't have any chance of affecting the outcome.

Sorry for the double posting.
I think you have to mail the federal postcard every year. It recommends doing it by January of the year you want to vote. And, each state has their own voting requirements. But, this postcard seems to be the most import part to start the process. They really do not make this easy for anyone.
