Q: Anyone celebrating mother's day in China?

Is it strange to celebrate mother's day and give your mother in law something?  She actually is a very good person.  I've been blessed to marry into a decent family, so I wanted to show her my appreciation as well as to my wife.  But I worry that such a thing might be viewed as strange.

I would say it is not strange to give your MIL a gift.

All you married guys are expected to accept many local traditions.

Why not introduce and share some of your own such as Mother's Day ?

I just gave my MIL a present, no worries (as per other threads) it is perfectly safe for her and people around her. Just because she sucks in more ways than I can imagine, doesn't mean she didn't raise my wife (although I am surprised my wife is actually alive this day)
