Q: Anyone here work for Key Logic and what was your experience?

Here is what happened to me before I got fed up and quit after two months and I am still waiting for my last 12,000 yuan!

I want to add Key Logic to the list of worst employers in Beijing - They trick us foreign teachers into preparing 5 or 6 ppts for "Upcoming Classes" and then ask us to rehearse the class for approval. They also want to "approve" the ppts. They don't tell you but they video tape your demo and then copy your ppt and put THEIR name on it. They also take photos of you giving the demo. Those "upcoming" courses are then taught by Chinese teachers using YOUR lesson plans and ppts! If you catch them they will tell you on of two things... 1) The client insisted on a bi-lingual; teacher or 2) They client decided they could not afford a foreign teacher!!! Its BS - they just want to keep the extra money and don't have their own teaching materials. In their brichures they used photos of a teacher who did not even know they used him and has not worked there in over 2 years!  They also print copies of foreign textbooks and then put THEIR name on the cover. What a bunch of thieves!

I read something very similar to this earlier today on www.eslteachersboard.com.  I guess that their nefarious reputation is catching up with them!

Yes I have had experience with Key Logic.  The contact person was Alena.  She had me do a bunch of preparation work on their PPTs (she said they needed to be pre approved) for a contract worth about 25,000rmb that would last roughly three weeks.  I did all the work for preparation and then all of a sudden she dumped me only for me to find out a week later that they still used my work and a Chinese teacher was teaching the class!  I am very unhappy and disappointed about this.

I also experienced my own horror story with Key Logic and the very same girl but she spelled her name "Alina" not "Alena".  They basically used me for videos they were making an never paid me the 8,000 yuan they said they would pay me. When I bitched they said they would get me deported!  I wrote it off as a loss and expensive learning experience.

A:Good question!  I'd say, if you study at Uni in China beside working full-time as an E.T. with Residence permit, you don't interfere with your full-time employment. It's your free time and you can do anything you want, with respect to the Chinese laws and customs. Have a look at terms of Z visa/Residence permit and ... ".. you cannot work (and earn monies!) with another employer ..."That's all it is! Your RP sponsor title is written on the RP stamp in your passport, I think. It's in Mandarin, so I've heard about that from someone ...At I.D.-ing by cops, they know where you work and than more details about you are just a phone call away ... and it happened in person ... LOL ... during the day-time stroll through Wulumuqi, Xinjiang, 2012/13 semester. Now under RP, you're free to surf Internet, jog, ... and study, too. I suggest, you look and ask at the Uni, you plan to study in the future. Have a detailed look at requirements for studying and attending chosen Uni.Good luck! -- icnif77
