That's the thing with China forums, they're all basically rinse and repeat topics and you see the same questions being asked every year.

Visa issues, legal problems, what is it with the ... (insert anti-social habit here), I want to make foreign friend to improve my English, where can I find..., how do I send money home, internet and VPN issues, relationship advice, can't stop shitting what should I do, various trolls getting their sad kicks, the wumao eunuchs mindlessly repeating the mantra, what is (insert city / school) like, China is horrible because...., predictable admin sock puppet questions, and current events.

I probably missed a few  but you get the idea.

Background info.  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2258975/Chinese-fakeaway-How-worlds-famous-buildings--cities--cloned.html    "In an attempt to explain the reasoning behind the copycat buildings, archeologist Jack Carlson believes that far from simply mimicking Western landmarks to appear more cultured, they are in fact an attempt to assert China's global supremacy."  Carlson got it right.  You have a London Eye?  I copy yours and build one in Shandong that is bigger than yours.....

Well, prc was building the tallest pagoda in Asia this time, ie until 1pm today.

I don't know if this is new to you. Have you  ever seen holy smoke (literally) of this magnitude?

This happened 7+ hours ago in Sichuan (Dec 10, 2017).   The new temple, the highest pagoda in Asia PRC was building, caught fire.  The palace like shorter temple in front caught fire first at around 1pm, the fire spread to the pagoda. No one injured according to the article.

See video and photos in the article.  A huge loss of face, netizens immediately commented!!!

Pagoda, temple, holy smoke.......Buddhism's core tenet being karma. Message from above, China, plenty of karma awaits you? Don't ask me, you decide.

A:Good question!  I'd say, if you study at Uni in China beside working full-time as an E.T. with Residence permit, you don't interfere with your full-time employment. It's your free time and you can do anything you want, with respect to the Chinese laws and customs. Have a look at terms of Z visa/Residence permit and ... ".. you cannot work (and earn monies!) with another employer ..."That's all it is! Your RP sponsor title is written on the RP stamp in your passport, I think. It's in Mandarin, so I've heard about that from someone ...At I.D.-ing by cops, they know where you work and than more details about you are just a phone call away ... and it happened in person ... LOL ... during the day-time stroll through Wulumuqi, Xinjiang, 2012/13 semester. Now under RP, you're free to surf Internet, jog, ... and study, too. I suggest, you look and ask at the Uni, you plan to study in the future. Have a detailed look at requirements for studying and attending chosen Uni.Good luck! -- icnif77
