Q: Are receipts proof that items are not fake?

I don't really get the whole fapiao (receipt) thing in China but it seems like only legit places can give you these. So is it accurate to assume that whatever you buy isn't a fake if they can give you a fapiao?

No,no~
That's for the government to get tax paid and people who bought that stuff get reimbursement from his/her company.

I think i bought fake phone too for 700RMB too. Weird! Still not sure because i went to the store with my receipt, and i will get a real one in a bit less than 3 month, so at that time i'll be able to say if phone is fake or not. I cross my finger it's not!

A: Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever
A:Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever foreigners do.  I spent 15 years in China but I wouldn't say there are that many don'ts....Don't assume that many people speak English though and learn some Chinese. Don't speak much about politics unless you want to praise Chinese system.  -- Natalie363
