According to British reports from the Daily Mail on June 26, the pigment used to create the unique caramel colour of Coca-Cola has been found to contain the carcinogenic substance 4-methyl imidazole (known as 4-MI).
In America, 355ml of Coca-Cola contains 4mcg of 4-MI of the substance, while in China it contains 56mcg and in Brazil 267mcg.
Coca-Cola British representatives have announced the company would change the formula, but have not given a timetable for its implementation.
So, please saty away from drinking Chinese made Cokes for the time being.

Thanks for the heads up. When I am in China I normally drink 6-8 cans of coke zero a day.
Wikipedia says: In the European Union the legal limit for 4-MEI in caramel coloring is 250 mg/kg.
So even the Brazilian Coke is still considerable as quite save.
Disadvantages for the human body have not been confirmed.
You better take care what You inhale...
If You are so afraid of poisonous substances... then jus wear complete and sealed environmental separation suit all day and not only in China...
So I wouldn'tt care so much about sip of cola.
