Going on a trip to Shanghai soon. I've been there a few times before but always hung out in the French concession area. Wouldn't mind seeing something new so can anyone recommend some other good areas to check out?

the most popular places for foreigners to visit in Shanghai are the Bund(外滩) for the symbol of Shanghai, Town God's temple (城隍庙) for snake tasting and souvenier shopping, Xintiandi (新天地) for drinking and dining
I have no idea why people want to go to the Bund, personally I find it's boring and too crowd.
If u want to see “China”, maybe go to Qi Bao town, Line10.
Huai Hai Road is nice too.
And there r a lot bars and restaurants at Changle road and Hengshan road.
Check out their shopping malls, parks and any historical places that you can find. The best way to finding all the hotspots is to get a guide that will list all the places that you must do and see that way you will have all your answers at the tips of your fingers. You do have to invest in the book or maybe some places online can share to offer you where all the hotspots are.
For me I would say all the traditional places like monuments, museums ets., Check out some of their parks and also try their shopping malls.
