I will be returning to China soon and will be bringing a notebook computer and also a PC Motherboard, Graphics card, RAM, CPU, and 3 or 4 Hard drives so I can assemble a desktop computer in China. Is customs going to have a hissy fit over this?

When I moved into China, in one suitcase I had one desktop and two laptops, plus a printer, and no one bothered me. And in my frequent travels in and out, I always carry at least one laptop, and never stopped because of it.
thanks HappyExPat, same here, never been bothered because of the laptop, I am just concerned about the Motherboard, partially assembled etc... and multiple hard drives. I dont have the room to bring it fully assembled, and will buy the case/PSU in China.
I don't think a motherboard will be a problem. May be with security at airport, but after they see it will be no problem.
As for multiple hard drives, I had three external ones, all full of data and programs with me, in my suitcase, when I came in, and was not even stopped after they x-ray my suitcases.
