you would have to calculate if the salary will support 3 people in China.

the average English teacher salary is adaquet for 1 person - you can have a comfortable life and still be able to save a good amount every month.

a couple (with a child) would probably require 2 full time salaries (at least 1 VERY good salary) to be able to save for all potential problems (especially health-care) that you could potentially encounter.

In addition there is the possibility you can not access everything you require for your child. For example you would be advised to ensure that you had your own supply of anything such as baby formula (if you use it) as locally produced baby products have a very large question mark over them in terms of reliability (and safety). Even the Chinese prefer foreign brands for their babies.

You certainly write like one ...

Get a job and ask your sponsor about it ... 'cause you might need a bigger apartment for one.

The other thing you'll need to worry is your husband's Chinese visa.

I am single-let's-mingle, butT ... I can use search engine ...

You can claim dependents on your Chinese Z visa and ... they'll get S1/S2 visa ..

Please make sure your job contract at lease 1 year or long term. If it is a short term contract you better think twice.

You can work only if you hold a work permit and residence permit yourself. The same conditions for all foreigners apply. You have a job and the company can legally employ foreigners. Work permit is tied to that company and location that you are actually working and the position matches. You can't just work in China if you hold a dependence visa or residence permit.
