Q: Can someone fill me in on using Facebook.com?

Hi. I've lost track of all the websites that the Chinese government doesn't allow people to use. Shock

* Is it possible to use Facebook.com or will I need a VPN or..? * I'd appreciate your feedback!

Thanks netizens! ^^

I would recommend 'Strong VPN' - they're very reliable with some stellar online personal control to help you find the best connection. It's pretty damn quick. You'll have to pay a subscription to most of these VPN services though.

Also, there are other free methods such as 'Freegate'. It's really hit and miss though - providing you with only about 10 minutes of pure access to whatever foreign site you need before it reloads or cuts.

The best means to communicate overseas for me with my friends (if you're just relating to social networking) is Weixin - known in English as 'WeChat'. On a recent trip back home I made my family and friends download it on to their phones as I feel the quality of Skype sucks over here on most occasions.

Plus, I'm always on the look around... you know, being that standard foreign troll sexual deviant.

Yes, VPN.  Lots of free ones out there, but quite unreliable.  You may have to subscribe to a pay VPN.  Most run about 10 US a month, but worth it for my 2 blocked sites: Facebook and YouTube.  Good luck!
