Q: Can you accept your colleagues speaking Shanghainese or local dialects while in an official meeting?
If No, how do you stop this?

That's weird. I live in Hangzhou and most of my coemployees chat in dialect (with code switching) in the lunch room, but in the office the only one who speaks any dialect is the cleaning lady, and everyone answers back in Mandarin.
Saying, "请说普通话, 方便我你他." is always a polite and funny, face-saving way of reminding them you can't understand, and they're being a bit rude.
