I know they are not common back home anymore, but I was curious if they do have bank, or postal money orders in China? If so is there a limit(if you were to send one internationally)?

Post offices around the world do money orders, even back home and in China. You can use Western Union also, but I think the fee is more.
Post offices DO NOT do money orders any more due to the 419 scam. Western Union is person-to-person and not viable if you need to send money to a governmental organization.
Certified cheques can be obtained at main branches of ICBC (have someone phone and check ahead for you). You can have them made out in various major currencies.
western union is very reasonable actually cheaper than a wire
