Well, a new twist in China, see an old couple on break in Jinan, been about a year since we talked, the neighbor who is divorced could not register her kid for a public primary school because a child from a divorced parent would have psychological problems and not a good student for the school.
Regardless of the asinine stupidity of this, the fact the school can actually do this in a capital city of a province, a province with the highest gaokao scores in China and home to the scholar confucious is what really makes this crazy.
Stiggs:
Idiots like that.. probably raised by ex red guard village idiots and it shows but has the nerve to assume other people's kids have psycological problems.
Every time I find myself wondering if I could see myself going back to China things like this remind me how much I hated seeing people I know get f***ed over by stupid or vindictive people.
Not sure of the exact numbers but it is definitely going up.

In cities like Beijing and Shanghai it is probably over 40% well on its way to 50%.
CCTV News ran a Dialogue show last night and the % is astronomical.

In case you miss the wife just make a replica, problem solved, and no bitching.
if there was a just legal system it woudl be higher. I have a couple of female friends who say that "my child will be taken away to live with my husbands family i I divorce". that kind of thing probably stops a lot of women from leaving their shitty husbands
