Q: Do Chinese have many cats as pets?

I read not to bring cats into China as they could end up as a source for fur. I have 8 and they all have titles. I read pedigreed pets are becoming more popular and there are dog and cat shows now in China. Do you see many pet cats?

mine are mens cats, Maine Coons can get quite large 24lbs

Pet ownership seems fairly new and novel here, most cats are still pretty wild!

A:Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever foreigners do.  I spent 15 years in China but I wouldn't say there are that many don'ts....Don't assume that many people speak English though and learn some Chinese. Don't speak much about politics unless you want to praise Chinese system.  -- Natalie363
