Q: Do you know any good tattoo shops in Beijing/Shanghai?

Hi people! I'm going to visit China starting from the 17th of March and I'll be staying there for 12 days. (6 days in Beijing and 6 days in Shanghai)

If possible I would like to get a tattoo on my arm at a good tattoo shop with the adequate hygiene standards and quality work needed.

Thanks in advance. Smile

You should check out Longxiutang in 798 art district in Beijing. Little Dragon is one of the most revered tattoo artists in China who splits his time between New York and Beijing. Hygiene standards there are extremely high; probably higher even than at many Western tattoo places. Spring Tattoos also has a good rep but I've never personally been so can't say for sure.

Great! I will check them when I get there.

Any idea about the prices though? Thank you so much btw!

It's not cheap. I'm not sure about the exact prices now but a few years ago it was in the range of 1,500 RMB per hour. They also don't do walk ins. Usually you have to make an appointment weeks in advance. It's a really professional, popular place. Here's the website. You can email or call them if you have any questions. http://www.lxttattoo.com/index.aspx

I know about and where to find tattoo shops....but for me I always think they are all bad.

The best place you would probably find one is the sanlitun area.  .  . . .

Thank you! :)
