No, I actually think  they have gotten much better. He made that new movie with Christian Bale in it, it was alright to me. He definitely got a good cast to make that movie what it was. It didn't win an award, but it could have been much worse if another director were to have made it. 

I think so. I'm a big fan of just about every movie he made in the nineties. His action movies in the 00s were great fun, but nothing too memorable (although I liked the flower one quite a bit). The Cohen brothers remake was dull, and I've kind of lost interest.
