Many of the paid VPN's have been rendered useless these days, as well as the free ones, at least until November 16, 2012.  The trusty old VPN that I have used all of these years in China has also come to a sudden and dead halt. Not much we can do, I don't think.

Thats why security is tightened...

They sent their users instructions how to change the settings to still use it, which works. Still using mine now;)

Mine is working but I have to constantly switch IPs or it freezes.

got message too, that there are some problems, but still not working well, no facebook, youtube can watch, but can not sign to my acc. and usually conn. drops down after while and connect again, and drop... so i just wait the CCP congress iss over ..

same here. Connects and then drops out. its fine at night but during business hours, its fucked

Not sure why your vpn is not working, but I do know if two people use the same one the connection can become weak and one of the two parties using the same VPN will be disconnected from it. You have to make sure you are the only one using it, then there shouldn't be a problem with connectivity! (!!
