I suppose people had the right to be slightly offended by it, but as usual the reaction was way over the top I thought. Half of the hysteria probably came from the resentful keyboard warriors living with their mothers who could never afford to buy it anyway.

In a couple of months though nobody will remember they got butthurt and they'll be bragging about  the overpriced crap they just bought again.

haha,,, Stiggs got it right. Kids are out buying the knockoff D&G as we speak. Nobody remembers, or gives a flip about, those insults or whatever you call them,,,, they just know they want that fancy label. D&G ought to be a bit more worried that 99% of the junk sold over here with their trademark on it is counterfeit anyway.

Who buys D&G? People who can't afford Chanel! haha. Tongue :p

Its all part of uncles plan to use the 'sick man of asia' stereotype to bolster his approval.

Strong, cohesive societies are open to self ridicule, and external ridicule.

This reminds me of the video of the Chinese dude squirming on a Sweedish pavement.

The Chinese defense of that twat did not show China in a good light, not does their state sponsored offense at D&G.

Of course, D&G are twats too.

China needs to grow up. It needs to learn to take as well as give.

China needs a sense of humour.

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
