When writing on ECC I mean. I've been safely back in Europe for three months now, but I still comment as if I were still in China.
Most common is using "here" when I really should say "there". A lazy brain? Is my head still stuck in the Chinese smog? Or am I visualizing myself in China, because my family is still there?
Has anyone else had this before? When you were outside China?

Haha, I browse ECC now that I am in Vietnam...if only to remind myself of all that I am not missing. :

that makes 4 of us. i know that Hulk and Dr.Monkey posted when they were not in China. Not strange at all, especially if you still have connections to China.

Stiggs--It is better in every.single.way, except for public transport. I wish I'd skipped China altogether and just come here first. Vietnamese people can think, can put effort into things, and look out for each other. There is abundant petty crime here in Saigon (someone already tried to snatch my bag), but it isn't like China where every last person wants a piece of you.
Why do people still post about BCD when they aren't here? I don't haunt Korean forums anymore, and I certainly don't plan to post hereif I leav China.

You're right. I'm a troll. Thank you for helping me realize. When my wife and kids are safely out of China as well, I certainly won't be here to troll you anymore.

how long was it before you could not resist the temptation to ting bu dong the first person you spoke to in a chinese restaurant?
coineineagh:
i had a few conversations with Chinese in Europe, talking about the strange things i saw there. Friendliness drops fast because i criticise their culture, even long-time acquaintances. I tried speaking to a Chinese/Thai restaurant owner. I mentioned that my wife is from Sichuan, and he deliberately misheard in a forceful attempt to put Sichuan Chicken on my tab. It was so obvious, it wasn't even funny anymore.
