Q: Is the "Global steel industry" making an army of interns in China?

Taking a brief look at the jobs section on this site,  one of the most high prolific, non-teaching careers advertised here is apparently that of global steel. There are advertisements lined up one on top of another - changing the specifics of position or location, but overall it's an ad from the same place.

I'm a bit surprised by the large volume of job ads taken out for so many different positions by a single firm.  Is this business building its entire workforce up on peanut paid interns or something?  Nothing against it, just thought it was a bit awkward!

Most jobs on this site (and many others) are jokes anyway (not the admin's fault, they are just an accurate picture of China's corporate environment, other sites don't do better).

And when they're actual positions, they're just so poorly advertised they make for a nice overview at said company's unprofessional internals.

So, maybe it's a company trying to build an army of interns, maybe an army of white faced trinkets for god knows what bid, maybe it's just dumb HR fallen asleep on the "enter" key. You never know. Can mean anything, can mean nothing. Don't take it seriously, they sure as hell don't.

If you see a proper job ad in China with all the details it was probably posted by a foreign company, a foreign HR or a foreign recruiter. No way a Chinese is going tk be honest with you, false ads and promises are comon thing here.

Which is quite surprising because Chinese employees ask for very specific details about the job then contracts, they are incredibly picky and stick to the terms.

But when it comes to foreign employees the local employers think we are defenseless, they are surprised when they try to screw us over and learn that we know about the SAFEA and the law.

A:Your potential employer is right! Purpose of the Medical exam before granting Z visa is to make sure, you won't be entering China in any abnormal and harmful to others condition.Few days after your arrival to China, you'll be required to complete another ME ... If ME in China will be OK, you'll get a Residence permit stamp into your book some 10-days afterwards. Imagine, you're an employer, who can sponsor my entry and work in China, but after my arrival to China would be found I carry some sickness, which would prevent Chinese .gov to issue a Residence permit. Rule is: Z visa should be converted into Residence permit in 30-days after entry to China.    So, my advice is:"Complete ME in your home country and forward medical results to your employer".Z visa grant will follow shortly afterwards. Employer is not wrong at their demand for the pre-arrival ME from your home country hospital.   -- icnif77
