Q: Has anyone notcied, no hotels near BJ airport accept foreigners! wtf

So I am going back home soon but needed to stay a night near the BJ airport because I have an early flight the following day, so my gf spent a day calling around all hotels in the area, all of which refused to accept waiguo ren, including a 7 days inn, a pretty big chain here.  What's up with this?  Anyone know why?

I had the problem before, last summer, we flew into BJ at about midnight and tried to find a hotel, a taxi driver drove us around but all the hotels again refused me.

She has since eventually found a Home Inn that would accept me.

I didn't have problems to get into the Hostel (walk-in, for 140 Rmb/night) by the West Railway Station in Beijing, few months ago.

Actually, no problem. Most recently had a hotel room just a few blocks away from the airport for domestic flights. And it was inexpensive and clean. Did not have reservations, just walked in and asked for a room. They  even drove me to the international airport next day.. about 10 minutes away.

laughThere is a Hilton Hotel that is close to the BJ airport so I know you are lying. Also, it might not be that they don't accept Weiguoren it might be that they will accept you if your gf checks you in. You probably wouldn't be able to do it alone for some reason, but yeah I've seen that happen at a hotspring before. The best way is for you to get your gf to do all the negotiations and you don't show yourself until it's time to check in. Just stand outside don't be seen until you get the keys to the room. (Drunk!

He he, I said: "keys"!

Not all hotels in China are approved by PSB to offer rooms to foreigners.  Since hotels are responsible for reporting that a foreigner is staying with them directly to PSB, and must have the machine to scan and copy your passport and sent it to the local PSB office, unless you are approved, you can not have foreign persons staying at the hotel.

Just use Ctrip or Elong next time. They can normally get quite good discounted rooms and you can book online.

A:Good question!  I'd say, if you study at Uni in China beside working full-time as an E.T. with Residence permit, you don't interfere with your full-time employment. It's your free time and you can do anything you want, with respect to the Chinese laws and customs. Have a look at terms of Z visa/Residence permit and ... ".. you cannot work (and earn monies!) with another employer ..."That's all it is! Your RP sponsor title is written on the RP stamp in your passport, I think. It's in Mandarin, so I've heard about that from someone ...At I.D.-ing by cops, they know where you work and than more details about you are just a phone call away ... and it happened in person ... LOL ... during the day-time stroll through Wulumuqi, Xinjiang, 2012/13 semester. Now under RP, you're free to surf Internet, jog, ... and study, too. I suggest, you look and ask at the Uni, you plan to study in the future. Have a detailed look at requirements for studying and attending chosen Uni.Good luck! -- icnif77
