Q: Has China made you more ocd?

I wasn't so much before I came here. Now I don't even dare let anything touch the table in a restaurant because I know people have been spitting their food all over it and it hasn't been properly cleaned.

I feel the same. But I feel gross to spit the things in the bowel even they would be washed. I simply spit the smal fish bone in a plastic bag and throw in the trash can. I do not like bones that much, but sometimes it is ot easy to get rid of the small bones.

#1. that is one word u do not want to misspell { BOWL }  ...just trust me on this...

#2.  when a pretty girl starts talking about 'bone/s' you had better be prepared for some intense joking about u !  (good-natured of course)

When eating in such types of restaurant so I am also spitting the bones on the table - usually trying to prepare the napkin beforehand so actually spitting into the napking on the table.

One thing I learned from my Chinese friends - whatever drops anywhere out of your bowl/plate you do not eat anymore.

With the rest I am quite fine - in several years did not experience neither food poisoning nor any type of food sickness.

No food poisoning or any kind of food related sickness in several years? You must eat imported food at home every night.

I usually eat outside and vast majority is local food. You just need to take the usual precautions. If the place looks dirty so I do not eat there.

I also try to follow my friends recommendations - so far no problem.

I eat European food just about once or twice a month and imported food I do not buy at all as I find tremendously overpriced - on top of that I so far succeeded to satisfy myself with Chinese food which I really enjoy.

Less so.  I came to China to combat my OCD.

I used to wear 3 pairs of gloves but now, more often than not, I can do things without any.

It's the challenge of not touching anything that gives me something to do and think about here.

Now, nothing much to do.  Hmmm...where's that dang sexual desire..... I know I left it around here someplace...

Yes, with cleaning. I'm scared of getting some crazy germ. Purell is my best friend here.
