In china it is very difficult to read the bus routes. What's the easiest way you've learned how to deal with this situation. I've gotten familiar with a couple of bus routes. But whenever I travel on the subway somewhere far it's hard for me to read the bus signs. Is there an easy way to read this? There are a lot of characters on the sign just want to know if there are alternatives rather than asking someone on the street.

1.- You could learn to read Chinese characters, not that difficult.
2.- Or you could hire an interpreter to ride with you.
3.- Or just climb on a bus or a subway train and go exploring (I have done that a lot).
4.- Buy an Apple iPhone, lots of memory, then download a program to it that will allow you to point the camera on phone to whatever Chinese charactes I wish to know the meaning, press a button and get the English translation inmediately. Quite handy, I also do that a lot.
And many others too numerous to list all.
But I am sure that for you reading Chinese characters will be no problem.

Thanks for the input..I was trying out the program where you write or scribble something on the pad and it gives you options of characters...I didn't know there was a system to translate it into english. I'm gonna look more into that. Thanks!
