Here's my situation. I am working as an International sales manager in this company and leading a sales team of 5-6.
The boss expects me to help the team achieve good sales while having reached good sales by myself.
I have been a good manager and trained the team a lot and they have been making progress since I hired as their manager.
But I start worrying that someone else might take over my manager position if one of them becomes more skilled than me in the business after I taught them a lot. So here my concern is whether I should really teach everything to my team.
You could put them on sale. The whole team!
I want my coats! I should rent a truck ....soon.

Now, I am reading my few days ago answer, and I am like: 'Who wrote that ?'
If you don't train them properly then they'll do a bad job .... and your team won't meet their sales targets.
Typical Chinese thinking which is why they fail at business.
Some people are great at sales, some great at management... and rarely, some at both.
If you're good at your job, it won't matter.
Of course, if you suck at your job, then yeah - you've got a lot to be worried about!

That's it, if you're good at you're job then you have no need to look over your shoulder
the secret of sales is...some people just can never do it!
It has a lot to do with the personality.
Believe it or not, if you are really that good, you simply won't be replaced...otherwise, you'll go and train their competitors with all their internal secrets.

I need to train them well as otherwise I will be fired for not doing a good sales management job.
But I do not want to be replaced. So I should make them more depend on me as snother dude said.

As long as you perform good, you will remain.. but i know from many other chinese people they got replaced several times, because as they claimed they were unable to reach targets etc etc.. if possible make them more dependant on you.. sounds tricky but you have to think about yourself first... If you have this thoughts already which i suppose arised becaused you either felt, heard or saw something you disliked look out for competitors.
You got your human capital, know how to use it.
Good luck!

Of course. I was thinking of only train them to be good sales but not train them the skill of management.
But yesterday the boss talked about opening a new branch in another city and asked me to train a sales guy in my team to do management. What should I do then?
