Q: How did you meet your Chinese significant other?
Just curious how you met your BF/GF/wife/husband. While I'm single, I met my best Chinese friend just by being lost one day. She helped me find my way, and I was shocked that she not only knew English, but hers was better than the English teachers I worked with. I met another good friend through QQ. I never message randoms, but the randoms who message me are usually entertaining enough. How did you meet yours?
On May 7, 2011, at 11:30 am, a mutual friend invited both to his home for lunch. We were so impressed with each other that after leaving together our (now) mutual friend's home, went for a walk and dinner, another walk afterwards, took her to her apartment and from the day after until today we have been together and extremely happy.
And yes, there are many cultural differences, but patience and love tends to minimize friction. And an agreement to never go to sleep upset at each other.
So, no regrets, life is very rosy now !.

Last summer I was at a bar with some Chinese friends...she came over to my table to talk to me...we talked and drank and danced all night....she came home with me and just never left.

I have a Collie at home, one day I saw this young girl with a Collie and went to see the dog, we walked and talked for a long time, I went with her to get a phone card and she asked me out for a beer. I told her she was too young to be drinking with me, She asked how old did I think she was and I guessed higher, she just smiled and walked away. my guess was still a lot lower. We haven't been getting along lately, too bad I do like her dog and he likes me.

in a casino in los angeles and when i retired honey lets move to china and i have regreted ever since now we live in china 1 year then back to california for a year its been like this for the last 10 years and i feel like a yoyo teach english in china and in california golf in the am and casinios in the pm so i am going crazy just back in china for a month ago and having withdrawels at least they have a couple of golf courses i can go to on my days off
I was introduced to my wife by a common friend while she was going to school in the US.
I came to Beijing with the thought that Asian men was not good looking or even fun to begin with so I stayed away from them most of the time and had my fun with Europeans. But then the company that I worked for decided to send me back to Europe and to my hometown in Sweden, while working there I met a Chinese guy and we dated for quite some time. Then he moved back to Beijing and we got together over msn. A few months after this we met each other for a vacation in hong kong where I also got my visa to enter china again, then I moved back to Beijing and started working here.
And we are still together, loving each other more and more and we have started to plan our future together.
