I'm all about being culturally relevant, but sometimes I really don't need or want the help of someone. Yet they can't take the hint or sometimes it seems that they are ignoring the hint. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, so if anyone can help me out and give me some nice, polite ways to refuse help, that would be great!

Put your foot down and say no means no! It doesn't matter what the language is! They understand Yes and No, Hao and Boo Hao. Depends on what it is they are helping you with though. If it is something physical that requires the help of two or more people such as carrying heavy objects then I don't refuse. If it is something that a singular person can do by him or herself then I will refuse without hesitation. But they are just being kind so you make your judgement call on their sincerity!
after telling them Looking ( Kan yi Kan)
and they still follow you around
have some fun with it and do a couple of laps of the store with them in toe
they usually give up after the first 40ft
