Q: How do you report scam callers?

I keep getting phone calls from people telling me I've won prizes. Is there any way I report them so they'll stop bothering me?

Did you calim price? What was it? I received call not long ago, sent a check and got a letter saying prize will arrive shortly. I can't wait for it!

Hi Tracy, the best way to deal with phone pranks is to go to your local police station and report the incident. You must provide with the telephone number of the prankster and also tell them the content of the phone call. They will then investigate the matter.

I do recommend for you to not pick up calls from unknown numbers. Almost every day, my phone rings for about 2 seconds and then stops. It's always some unknown number who expect me to call back. I downloaded a clever app on my iphone which tells you the origin of the call and most of them have been tracked to Urumqi or Hainan. I don't know anyone in these places so they clearly have some scam up their sleave. I just don't answer calls by unknown callers anymore. I advise you to do the same.

I just ignore the prank calls and the scam SMS. Well, most of the time, prank phones ring for only one or two seconds and I hardly have time to answer. Then I know it is a trick.

Always remember that there is no such thing as a free lunch in this world. Don't believe the words saying you have won a unexpected prize.

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
