Yiu asked for it !. It took me almost a year to be totally over with, and the first few months were pure hell. I even got severe depression !. But thanks to family and close friends, they tried hard to keep me busy with other things and thoughts, and eventually it wore out itself.
Just avoid thinking of her at all costs, think of something else. And avoid places you shared together. Try traveling, making new friends, going out frequently, etc, and good luck to you.
is there sth wrong with me? as an adult, i never had a hard time getting over an ex. leaving them behind was always a joyous occassion. just go find a another girl and bang her brains out. life is very easy just cut out the BS

I swear to god I didn't thumbs this one down. I appreciated the honesty.
HugAPanda:
Crimo, you're really creepy. Did you really leave them behind, or is it the other way around?
Shining_brow:
I just figure it presumes no emotional attachment - and he was just using them for the sex. ... hence, his statement makes perfect sense!

life is simple. love starts love ends. love starts love ends. what's not to understand??????? everything in this universe has 2 things in common a start and an end. . when a relationship ends new beginnings and new opportunities.
i once counciled a dude that was 17, he was good looking but was in our care becoz he tried to commit suicide becoz his gf moved to another state. if he's the norm then i'm happy to be creepy.
It's like a hangover... there is no quick fix. You just have to knuckle down and try to keep your mind off of it until it goes away.
SInce it's sounding like your heart was invested, it's going to hurt. It's supposed to. It makes you stronger in the long run.
Focus on something else. Don't laugh, but when I find myself getting lost in painful memories, I yank out a soduko (a really really hard one) and shift all my attention to that. Do something to challenge your mind. It helps through the tough times.
Do things you love doing, that she wouldn't do with you or allow you to do.
Get angry. You're allowed. Just don't go hurting her, or you, or anyone else.
Reach out to friends and family.
Most of all, you just have to give it time.
The French have the perfect cure for this: Find another!
Hellooooo, that's what f*ck friends and one night stands are for.
Concentrate on something to keep your mind occupied, like study Chinese, go to gym get in shape and meet someone else for that 1 night can help.
if you really have loved a girl, you will still love her always, but that love changes. just recognize what changed and then its easy to know how to move on. Doesnt mean you have to forget about her, just that you have come to terms with all of it
Find the new and forget the old .However, most people attempt to find the new but miss the old .
You will never be able to forget her if you really loved her.
If its over, take some time in between, dont bounce back and seek another quickly , thats always bad!
Love and life will find a way in time.
But I can assure you, when going to sleep, or drinking a beer or two, you will remember that lady often, if you really loved her.
