I am returning after long stretch.
How has china changed?
Worse...better?
I have issues with the direction with this country. Why will it be better than before...better yet why will it be worse?
Will my Krytonite resistant indestructible VPN still work?
Will my large penis continue to employ me endless YCG,s looking for meat?
Or will I be stuck in a quagmire of new laws and overt nationalism?
Or will I have to choose between a narcissistic Shanghai girl approaching early thirties or a migrant farm girl stupider than Kelly Bundy...please,,,advice I beg.
Mr The Dude, you are in luck!
Nowadays everyone loves foreigners, good manners are ubiquitous, drivers are careful and courteous and flying unicorns can be seen most evenings.
plenty of leftovers with money and a good education to pick from, since chinese men are intimidated by a lady smarter and richer, they have made about 60 percent of their female inventory available for seduction, purchase, etc. from their society. Shooting fish in a barrel might be a little harder. Make sure your kryptonyte is loaded before arrival.
Guys will stare at your pecker in the changing rooms at the gym. They do this to me. Although it's only fair to say that mine is erect at the time.
Everything is still the same. Maybe the internet has slowed down even more, if that's possible. Nationalism is still running strong. Make sure you bring your Dalai Lama t-shirt.
Looks like the gummint may be tightening the screws on media and the like in preparation for an impending economic hiccup. Prosperity being the one thing they got going for them.

Hey The Dude,
I will probably be heading back to China for a visit in a month or so as well. When I left (last Ocotober)... Here are some things I have noticed:
- Chinese still love foreign business people but now show strong dislike against foreign students, teachers and even tourists
- Chinese censorship has increased and many VPNs were getting shut down... major annoyance if you need the internet for your job
- Pollution has become worse in some areas and better in others, food safety scandals are either more rampant or just being uncovered at a high rate
- More nongs have enough money to travel, making holiday trips much worse than before within China
- Chinese women are still going for foreigners because Chinese men still lack social skills and many still have bad manners (probably not going to change because Chinese men are permanently in denial)
That's pretty much it... nothing really new just more of the same old in one direction or another.
same old s***.. females will keep you going..thats whats get me through the day...week..month..year...
There are less people to talk to - cos they all have their faces stuck in smartphones playing games or watching movies (ie, the economy has given them more money to waste)
The gubmint has made life as a foreigner harder but putting in more regulations and 'checks and balances'... meaning, to do most things you need a Chinese ID card (ie, a passport won't do).
And, there is even more need to carry around your passport - for more things you need to show it for. Soon, you won't be able to use a public toilet without first having your passport scanned and checked! (not that you want to use a public toilet!!)
I feel sorry for those of Chinese ancestry born in other countries. I've recently heard stories where locals (eg, police and other officials) refused to believe someone when they said they aren't Chinese, and have a foreign passport.... And then all the crap about that (the questioning/interrogation... being followed.... harassed.... :( )
